Scout Books is an online store that offers a range of notebooks with templated pages that help you take notes on various themes more effectively. For instance, the pages of the 33 Bottles of Wine notebook have fields for details about the wine, such as year, grape and varietal, room for notes, and a flavor wheel for accurate recording of the experience. Another example is the Type Sketcher notebook is a book of type grids for designing typefaces and includes quick guides on this art.

Scout Books is a project of Pinball Publishing, a creative publishing company in Portland, Oregon. Pinball Publishing prides itself on using only recycled paper, vegetable-based ink and renewable energy sources.

Carbon is pleased to welcome Eclipse Color Themes to the Code & Dev Circle. This site allows users to easily download and maintain color themes for the open-source software development environment Eclipse. Users can also create new themes or edit existing ones right within the site, using the built-in theme editor. The downloadable plugin allows users to easily switch between themes exported from the site as XML, and themes can also be downloaded and installed in EPF format. 

Eclipse Color Themes is brought to you by software developers Felix Dahlke and Roger Dudler. Felix is based in Cologne, Germany and currently works for Update Software AG, while Roger works for Meteomedia and lives in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The pair are constantly working to improve ‘Eclipse Color Themes’ with support for different programming languages, styles and editors

xheight is brought to you by graphic designer David Bushell, who is originally from north-west England and works for London-based web design and online marketing agency Base Creative. David also runs the design bookmark repository Design Heroes, as well as LoveDsgn, a social website for designers, typographers and other creatives.
